He's a solid case of: "I'd trade him only if the return were irresistible".

he can go somewhere else and tell them how it's all his fault that they suck, and how much better he has to be each night, and how he needs to be a leader on and off the ice. nothing but blah blah blah coming out of that hairy face hole.

I am 100% on board with Pete. In two years ROR is going to be on the downside of his career at 7.5MM.

Trade him while his value is at a high.

If you trade him after July 1 any team you trade him to only owes him 1MM for the rest of the year. That could be a huge advantage to a team like carolina.

Must be crazy to trade him. Most underrated C in the league and will be a best 2C behind Eichal. 15-20 faceoff on every single game.

I sure hope the Trashers 2.0 braintrust doesn’t gut the Canes for him...

Canada for the IIHF, but he was typical ROR. Took a penalty in the bronze medal game that led to USA's second goal.

"Got to be better. It starts with me."

Enough is enough.

The Sabres are still a long way from contending and their best pieces (Jack Eichel, Casey Mittelstadt, Rasmus Dahlin, etc.) are all very young and years away from hitting their prime.

Bit of stretch to say Eichel is years away from his prime. He's already a stud and could easily be competing for the Art Ross next year.

Its been reported by a couple media outlets that the ask for ROR is similar to what Philly received in the Mike Richards deal a few years back, 22 year old Simmonds, 19 year old Schenn and a 2nd round pick
As per Bob Mackenzie.
Not saying he is worth this or will get this type of return, just what I heard regarding asking price.
